Community Events

Our Community Events are Junior League of San Angelo’s way of saying “thank you” to the community that is so generous and supportive our endeavors. We are so grateful for the people of the Concho Valley who consistently help JLSA make an impact on the women and children in and around San Angelo.

Touch-a-Truck

Touch-a-Truck is a program adopted by Junior Leagues across the U.S. as a fun way to interact with our local communities. At a Touch-a-Truck event, kids of all ages can explore all their favorite vehicles from trucks and tractors, to emergency vehicles and race cars! This free, interactive event is a great way to educate children about the cool equipment local businesses use every day and the careers behind them.

Home Run Heroes

Home Run Heroes is an event created by JLSA in 2023 to offer a baseball game for children of the Concho Valley with physical and intellectual disabilities. In 2025, JLSA partnered with Special Olympics Texas and over 30 children participated along with volunteers from Goodfellow AFB and other local sports teams. This is a free event and is used as a way to bring the whole community together to foster the love of the game, friendships, and teamwork for students of the Concho Valley.

JLSA Day

In celebration of Junior League of San Angelo’s 75th anniversary, Mayor Brenda Gunter proclaimed October 2nd Junior League of San Angelo Day. Mayor Gunter recognized the organization for contributing over 1.3 million volunteer hours and approximately $3.5 million back into the community through our legacy and service projects.
